Hello, everyone.

I just received word from my publisher that due to the high demand for Missing Persons 101, I have topped their list as the bestselling opening month in their 18 year history.  That also explains part of the delay some of you are experiencing getting your hands on a copy!

What is my reaction to all this?  Gratitude.  Thank you so much for allowing me this distinction, it is truly a dream come true, and I couldn’t have done it without you.

Hi, everyone.  Well, it’s been a couple of weeks since the release of “Missing Persons 101″ and your response has been, well, a dream.  I just spoke with my publisher a couple of days ago and orders are rolling in… at one point last week, the book was even featured on the front page of Amazon.com

I am so grateful to all of you who have taken a leap of faith that you will enjoy the book… it’s in the mail.  When you get it in your hands, please send me a note and let me know.  I look forward to chatting with you

Ok… it’s only been a day or so and already I’m obsessed.  I constantly look at my book on Amazon and see its ranking.  Today, I saw it jump from about 268,000 to 63,000 and back again.  Right now as I write, it’s 61,503… not quite a bestseller, but better, huh?

It’s amazing to me that for five years I just wanted to write a book… then I wanted to have it published… now, I want it to be successful. 

I need to be humble in my perspective… in the end, what has always been important to me is writing; and creating stories that people enjoy.  I’m going to remember that.  Rankings, smankings (still 61,593…)

Today, by chance, I clicked on Amazon.com  and for some reason, typed in my name.  I was shocked and thrilled to see my book, Missing Persons 1o1 pop up on my screen.  The feeling was amazing.  After six years of work and waiting… I saw my work there… in the mecca of book-buying.

Also, it has been a busy week.  I finished proofing Missing, completed and sent book 2, Murder 101 off to the publisher, and even began book 3, Counterfeit 101!  Whew!  Thank you so much for your interest… send me a note!
